Not exactly, it's my job to travel throughout the world, catching wild Pokémon and training them to compete in battles...

No, it's not bad at all! Pokémon are generally competitive by nature, they enjoy being able to have a bit of friendly competition. As their trainer, I have to keep them strong and be able to come up with strategies to win.

As a Pokémon Trainer, it's my job to catch and train wild Pokémon for a sport known as battling. Only the greatest trainers are able to challenge the Pokémon League and become legendary Pokémon Masters. It's my dream to one day become a Pokémon Master myself.

[Usually, he doesn't really go near the playground, but Pokey had been thinking about trying and loosening some of the swings for the laughs. And then he spots you, Ash, and it's just...odd seeing you pout. Kind of funny, too, but mainly odd with how chipper you usually seem. So he'll walk over to bother you.]
