I haven't lost anything in terms of body parts, but my memory... There's a gap. How did I get my last Gym Badge? How did I do in the Orange League? ... It's gone. The hardships and struggles I fought so hard for... It's like a part of my identity is missing...

... It'll be worth it if I can actually be of some use though.

Well, as a Pokémon Trainer, I'm supposed to give him commands. I don't exactly control him though, as it's up to him whether he does it or not. The relationship between Pokémon and trainer is one built on mutual respect.
